About Title VII Indian Education Program.
Our mission is to insure that each Native American student in Crescent Public Schools has equal access to educational opportunities.
CPS Title VII Indian Education Program will;
- Support district services to Native American students identified as needing academic support in reading and math through in house tutoring;
- Help and support teachers with Native American students;
- Provide information for parents of Native American students focusing on CPS initiatives and educational opportunities;
- Collect and monitor ED506 Certification Forms for CPS Native American students;
- Promote high school graduation, enhance achievement, and nurture success of Native American students.

Eligibility
All Native American students enrolled in Crescent Public School must complete an ED506 Form to be eligible for service under the Title VII Indian Education Program.
This form will become part of your child's school record and will not need to be completed every year. This form will be maintained at the school and information on the form will not be released without your written approval.
Definition:
Indian means any individual who is:
A member of an Indian tribe or band, including those recognized by the state in which the tribe or band reside.
A descendent in the first or second degree (parent or grandparent).
