construction update

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I am writing to inform you about construction updates. At the time of this letter, construction is progressing, and hopefully you will begin to see what the new elementary building will look like.

Students in grades PK- 1 will still be located in their usual classrooms. Students in grades 2-3 will be located in the HS girls’ weight room building east of the HS. Students in grade 4 will temporarily be located in temporary classrooms located east of the HS girls’ weight room. Students in grades 5-6 will be located in the MS building.

Drop off and pick up for grades 2-4 will be the east parking lot of the HS. Drop off and pick up for all other students will be the same for now. Be prepared for changes as construction updates arise.

Please be patient and understanding as we go through this process. Please feel free to come by or call if you have any concerns or questions.

A Letter From the Principal

Dear ES/MS Parents,

I would like to welcome you and your student to Crescent Elementary/Middle School. School will begin on August 8, 2019, at 8:00 am. Doors will open at 7:45 am, and elementary students are to report directly to their classroom teacher as they arrive. Fifth - eighth grade students will enter the west end of the MS building due to construction. Breakfast is available from 7:30 am to 8:00 am daily.

School will be dismissed at 3:35 pm.  Remember this year we are on a 4 day week calendar. Please pay close attention to School Messenger and teacher notes in regards to changes.

Seventh grade students are required by law to have shot records updated, or they will not be able to attend school.

There are several forms that need to be completed every school year in order to be in compliance with state and federal regulations. Please fill out and return each form that is attached even though you do not think it applies. For example, the transportation form will allow your child to take a field trip during the school year, even if he/she does not ride a bus at any other time. Please contact your child’s teacher or Ms. Stacy’s office if you have any questions regarding any school form that you are filling out.

If your child is absent, please call the office as soon as possible. It is critical that your child is accounted for. Please keep your contact information updated so that we may reach you in an emergency.

Please remember, there are times when your child must be picked up promptly due to fever or vomiting as these are signs of a contagious illness.

Meet the Teacher night is August 6th   from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and hopefully you will find it beneficial. You are encouraged to drop off school supplies at that time if you wish.

Wayne Owens, Principal
