September 20, 2011 - Erica Carey received the Rising Star in Teaching Award at the Oklahoma State Fair. Only five Oklahoma teachers were selected for the award in recognition of their outstanding work in the field of education.

February 28, 2011 - Mr. Shiever visits with State Superintendent Janet Barresi, and Representative Don Armes during their visit to CPS to observe classes and hear from teachers and students what sets us apart from other schools using 1-to-1 technology in public school classrooms.
The group, including Senator John Ford, Senator Jim Halligan, Senator Gary Stanislawski and CPS Board members Dr. Worden and Mr. Moon toured MS and HS classes - talking with students and teachers about "blended" instruction and "self-paced" learning.
February 14, 2011 - Middle school and high school Student Council members, Adviser Tiffany Watkins, Pathways Grant Director Heather Brett, and Superintendent Steve Shiever traveled to Oklahoma City Monday for the reveal of 5320. The keynote speaker for the "Shape Your Future" event was Governor Mary Fallin.
September 2010 - The STI Difference Maker Awards are awarded to those schools that display exemplary efforts in improving student achievement through their students, schools, district and local community.

After careful consideration of all the submissions for the STI Difference Maker Award, STI is proud to announce the winner for September 2010 is Crescent Public Schools, Crescent, OK.

June 2010 - Crescent Public Schools Mini-Conference - The Crescent faculty hosted 16 school districts and 138 educators in a conference titled Teaching in a 1-To-1 Laptop Environment. CPS teachers shared their "best practices" for teaching with laptop computers with schools who would begin using laptops through the Ed Tech ARRA Grant.

We talk about 1:1 web-based instruction and feature Crescent Public Schools' all digital high school. Superintendent Steve Shiever brought Michael Wininger, the school's technology director and Kristi Lovett, National Board Certified art teacher. Four current Crescent High School students also joined us.

Crescent Public Schools will be riding in style.

A new activity bus was purchased from Midwest Bus Sales out of El Reno, Oklahoma. It is a Thomas Built: Type D Saf-T-Liner transit-style school bus.
