science icon PowerPoint Photosynthesis

Make a "formal" PowerPoint presentation about photosynthesis. The requirements below are provided as a minimum standard. Use this rubric to evaluate your presentation before turning it in.

Your presentation must have one slide for each of the following:

Slide 1 - Title page including:
  • title of presentation - use WordArt to make the title
  • a picture related to the topic of the presentation
  • place your name and assignment # in the lower left-hand corner of the slide
Slide 2 - An introduction slide showing the importance of photosynthesis.
  • include PowerPoint clipart on this slide
Slide 3 - The raw materials of photosynthesis.

Slide 4 - How plants get energy from light.

Slide 5 - How the color of light is important.

Slide 6 - Structures in plants related to photosynthesis.

  • include graphics on this slide
Slide 7 - The products of photosynthesis.
  • include some type of motion on this slide
Slide 8 - A slide indicating the conclusion for the presentation.

Slide 9 - A bibliography slide.

Have "transitions" from one slide to the other.

Make the slide show run automatically. Set the times in such a way that a viewer can comfortably read the information on each slide before the slide changes. Do not make the time so long that the reader gets bored between slides.

Save this file properly on your computer.

Use your computer to show the presentation to your science facilitator.
