1. Gently scrape the inside of your cheek with a tooth pick.
 
2. Rub the tooth pick on a slide.
 
3. Add a small drop of water and cover with a cover slip.
 
4. Observe the cells on medium and then high power.
 
5. Draw a single cheek cell as seen on high power in the top circle.
 
6. Identify and label the visible cell parts.
 

 

 

7. Make another cheek cell slide using stain instead of water.
 
8. Draw a single stained cheek cell as seen on high power in the bottom circle.
 
9. Identify and label the visible cell parts.
