Plan your ecosystem to be completely self-sustaining. That means, when your model is complete, you will close the top on the bottle and not reopen it. Include as many trophic levels within your ecosystem as it can support. At a minimum, include 2 plants and 2 different types of invertebrates. No vertebrates may be used.
