2. The concept: Illustrated maps
   • Create illustrated maps of significant places and events in the Civil War (Gettysburg, Sherman's march, etc.)
     • American memory from the Library of Congress
    
3. The concept: The Underground Railroad
   • Study the legends of code quilts and create a quilt (fabric or paper)

 
All classes will study Winslow Homer during the life drawing/figure drawing unit in September.

Some classes will do the map unit and some will do the quilt unit and then present to each other.

Student work may be displayed at the Frontier Country Museum.
