Jennifer McElfresh Introduction

Crescent Public Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Jennifer McElfresh as our new High School and Middle School principal!  Mrs. McElfresh has served our school district for the last ten years as a teacher and Special Education Director, and has shown incredible commitment to the school and community, along with a passion for educating our students and meeting their individual needs.  As she has transitioned this past week to the role of principal, she has worked collaboratively alongside our administrative team, teachers, and staff to get everything prepared to welcome our students back next Thursday.  We are excited to work with her in this new capacity, and we anticipate a wonderful year for our students in Crescent!

Here are a few words from Mrs. McElfresh.  "I am honored to serve Crescent Schools as the Middle School/ High School Principal for the 2022-23 school year. My family and I moved to Crescent in 2012 and have been blessed to be part of the Crescent community for the last 10 years. During those 10 years, I have served as the High School Special Education teacher and the  Special Education Director for the last three years.  In addition to being the principal, I will continue my responsibility as the Special Education Director.  Before Crescent, I served in many teaching roles including early childhood, elementary, and secondary education.

I believe that all students have the potential to learn and to be the best they can be. It is my desire to support every student’s educational journey by being the best leader for our teachers and students. We have amazing teachers and support in our school and I am proud to be a part of this great team!

My goal as your principal is to work alongside teachers and families to facilitate and grow an environment for our students and staff that is safe, effective, conducive to learning, and full of Tiger Pride!

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!"
